Jammu, Dec 23: Academic Council of the Central University of Jammu held 5th Annual meeting in Administrative Block, Central University of Jammu campus yesterday.
The meeting was chaired by Vice Chancellor, Prof. Devanand where in Prof. A.Rashid Trag, Prof. Riyaz Punjabi, Prof. R.N.K. Bamezai, Prof. R.J. Hans Gill, Dr. M.P. Narayanan, Prof. Chandramouli Upadhyay, Prof. Champa Sharma, Prof. Pothini Krishna Prasad, Prof. P.V. Sivapullaiah, Prof. H.N. Jagannatha Reddy, Dr. Palpu Pushpaganandan, Dr. Tondup Tsewang, Prof. Ajay Kumar Mittal and Prof. Chetan Singh attended.
The Vice Chancellor welcomed the members and while addressing briefed them about the various academic and administrative initiatives taken by the University since the last meeting of the Academic Council.
He also briefed about other things as resolved opening of new Schools and Departments and starting of part time Ph.D and Integrated M.Phil-Ph.D Programme by the University during the Academic Session 2015-16 and 2016-17. The members of the Council appreciated the pace at which the academic progress and infrastructural development have been accomplished by the University in a short span of time. |
