Illegal appointments: HC extends interim directions to 'pre arrest' petition of CEO 12/24/2014 12:42:12 AM Jammu,Dec 23 (JNF): In a much publicized 4th class alleged backdoor appointment in which Chief Education Officer Jammu has applied for the pre-arrest bail in High Court, Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur had extended the interim direction regarding not to arrest of petitioner. When the bail application came-up for hearing, Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur after hearing Sr Advocate BS Salathia with Adv Meenakshi Salathia appearing for the applicant observed that neither Sr AAG Gagan Basotra had appeared nor he had filed the objections and observed that on the last date of hearing, on account of pendency of present bail application which has already heard in part, the Investigating/Officer assured court that he will not arrest the petitioner till Monday. Court observed as I/O was not present today and directed to list this bail application on December 29 and directed that interim direction shall continue. It is worthwhile to mention here that Anticorruption Court had denied the pre-arrest bail Chief Education Officer (CEO) Jammu with the direction the serious nature of allegations against the accused, his capability to hamper the investigation as also the need of custodial interrogation of accused by investigating agency following which Chief Education Jammu Tarsem Lal has filed present bail application.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
