Early Times Report Kishtwar, Nov 4: Taking strong notice of the detention of Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, the Youth Congress District Kishtwar today held a protest against the Modi Government for illegal detention of Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi when the Congress leader went to meet the aggrieved family of Ex Servicemen Mr Grewal who committed suicide over failure of Modi government in implementing the "One Rank One Pension" in totality. As per the details available, the protesters led by Firdous Mingnoo District Coordinator Youth Congress Kishtwar in which the activists of Youth Congress and NSUI participated in large number. Addressing the protestors Distt Coordinator Youth Congress, Firdous Mingnoo said that Rahul Gandhi was trying to meet the family of the ex-serviceman, Ram Kishan Grewal who allegedly committed suicide on Tuesday over the issue of OROP, but the Modi Government got him arrested through Delhi police. He said that today, Modi government seems to be a total failure who fails to fulfill their own promises which they made during the election which include OROP as a result an Ex-Serviceman like Ram Kishan Grewal was compelled to commit suicide. He alleged that under Modi's rule the democratic rights of the people have been curtailed as was exhibited by detaining of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Arjuna Rana, Mohsin Dar, Syed Majid Shah, Danyal Trak, Keerti Kotwal, Anil Rathore, Mateem Ahmed, Irshad Ahmed, Tanveer Mingnoo Umer Ahmed, Naseer Ganie and others also participated in this protest. |
