Dabangg MLA slams coalition Govt, leaves stage in fury

Poonch, Nov 4: Expressing his anguish against the state coalition for not taking proper care of border people, MLA Mendhar Javed Rana of National Conference left the stage in a fury and used unparliamentarily language against the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti who was scheduled to address a gathering there, but her chopper could not land there, sources said here today.
As the stage was set for Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to address the border people including Balakote, Mendhar and Mankote sectors who have been victims of shelling from across the border for the last quite some time, the Chopper could not land there impelling the CM to fly to Poonch directly.
People were waiting for CM in Mendhar where "Dabangg" NC MLA Javed Rana started addressing the gathering accusing the state Govt for its total failure to provide the basic facilities to the displaced border people. He also informed the people that CM was not coming over here and used many condemnable words for her and PDP-BJP collation of the state.
He said no medical aid was available in hospitals for the people who got injured in Pakistan shelling and were referred to hospital of other districts for treatment, sources added. After some time he left the stage furiously. In the afternoon at 4 PM the NC workers headed by the MLA Javed Rana gathered at Mendhar Chowk and blocked Jammu-Poonch road to stage protest against PDP-BJP coalition for its total failure to mitigate the problems of border people sources said.
Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Thakur Sher Singh and Tehsildar Mendhar Shahzad Khan reached the spot and persuaded the protesters to lift one and half an hour dharna .
While talking to Early Times District Development Commissioner MH Malik said the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has announced additional amount of Rs. 5000 for each injured in border shelling, sources said, adding district Administration is asked to submit the proposal of Construction of Concrete bunkers for approval of Government so that during any eventuality in the people of border areas could be accommodated sources added.
Meanwhile state General Secretary of Youth PDP and Chairman Mendhar Youth Club advocate Nadeem Rafiq Hussain Khan condemned in strong words the unparliamentary language used by NC MLA Javed Rana against the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti during his speech and said MLA must tender apology to Chief Minister and desist from using such provocative words in future also, Khan added.
