Jammu, Oct 13: Over 72 hours have passed after a group of terrorists, in a worst-ever attack, martyred five soldiers including one Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) of the Army but there is no fresh contact with the hiding ultras.
It is believed that after ambushing the patrol party of the Army, terrorists have managed to give a slip to the forces despite the tight cordon of the area.
The Poonch incident was the biggest ever security and intelligence failure as terrorists were hiding in the forest areas for two to three months.

Jammu, Oct 13: Recent civilian killings in the Valley have led to many Kashmiri migrant employees returning to Jammu, however, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir has directed the Deputy Commissioners of ten districts in the Valley to ensure that no migrant employee leaves and if anyone moves out action should be taken against him/her according to the service rules.
Migrant employees while talking to Early Times said, “Instead of providing us with the security, we are being told that if we leave the Valley, action will be taken against us according to the service rules.”

Srinagar, Oct 13: A top Jaish-e-Mohammad militant was killed in South Kashmir's Awantipora during an encounter with security forces on Wednesday, police said.
The gunfight broke out in Tilwani Mohalla of Tral region when a team of joint forces launched a cordon and search operation following an input about militant presence.
"One terrorist has been killed so far. The operation is underway," a police officer said.
Kashmir's Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar identified the slain terrorist as top Jaish e Mohammad commander Sham Sofi.

Srinagar, Oct 13: National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday said that it arrested five persons during searches following registration of a case to “unearth a conspiracy hatched by various groups to carry out attacks in the Union Territory and other major cities.

SRINAGAR, Oct 13: The Government Bulletin on Covid today highlighted that 16 districts; Anantnag, Bandipora, Baramulla, Budgam, Doda, Ganderbal, Jammu, Kathua, Kulgam, Poonch, Pulwama, Rajouri, Ramban, Samba, Shopian and Srinagar have achieved 100% coverage of first dose Covid vaccine for the age group of above 18 years old.
The Bulletin also informs that96,550 doses of COVID vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours across the UT bringing the cumulative number of doses administered here to 13,430,141.
