Early Times Report Srinagar, Oct 8: Supinder Kour, who was shot dead by the terrorists inside her school in Srinagar’s old city, used to spend a part of her salary to raise a Muslim orphan girl. The 46-year old Kour, headed the Government Boys Higher Secondary School in Eidgah. She and her colleague Deepak Chand were murdered in cold blood on Thursday. Her inconsolable neighbor said that a few years back, Kour was posted at Government Higher Secondary Chanapora wherein she came to know about a Muslim orphan girl who had nobody to take care of. “The minor girl used to be at her aunt’s place but after the latter got married, the orphan girl had no one to take care of her. Early Times Report New Delhi, Oct 8: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to hold discussions with Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha Saturday on the security situation in the union territory in the wake of recent targeted killings including those of Hindus and Sikhs. Government sources said at least seven civilians were killed by terrorists over the past five days. Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Oct 8: The Government on Friday said that the highest number of 1,82,863 doses of COVID vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours across the UT bringing the cumulative number of doses administered here to 12,708,865. The Daily Bulletin also informs that 100 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 08 from Jammu division and 92 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 330352.
