Poor man from Bihar cremated in Kashmir, people outraged

Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 9: While the Jammu and Kashmir government has been spending huge amounts on cultural activities like musical shows and doing artwork on main roads in Kashmir, the administration had no money to send back body of Virendra Paswan, the poor Gole Guppa wala from Bihar who was recently shot dead by militants in Kashmir. On October 6, Paswan was among the three civilians killed on the fateful evening. He was shot dead while selling Gole Guppas in Lal Bazar locality of Srinagar. He was cremated at Karan Nagar cremation grounds here on October 7 afternoon while his brother and locals participated in his last rites. Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 9: After feeling humiliated and ignored more than 50 panchs and sarpanchs have tendered their resignations in Banihal and Ramsoo blocks in Ramban district. Early Times Report Anantnag, Oct 9: A National Investigation Agency (NIA) Court on Saturday farmed charges against the separatist leader Asiya Andrabi and her eight (8) other associates for hatching a criminal conspiracy against the country and disturbing law and order. The NIA Court of South Kashmir (Anantnag) also framed Aasiya Andrabi, who is the founder of banned outfit Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DEM) and her associates including Nahida Nasreen and Sofi Fahmeeda for instigating students to resort to stone-pelting and sloganeering in favor of slain terrorist Zakir Musa.
