Despite Mehbooba's directive PDP Rajya Sabha members yet to resign 8/20/2019 11:01:45 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 20: After passing of bills to abolish Article 370 and re-organization of J&K, former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti on August 7 had asked the two Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members in Parliament to resign from the Rajya Sabha, both the members have yet to resign. Instead of following directions of party chief, PDP Rajya Sabha members are buying time to remain as members of the Upper House of the Parliament. Credible sources said that both the Rajya Sabha members were not ready to follow directions of Mehbooba Mufti because they wanted to continue their remaining tenure. The PDP members were physically removed from the Rajya Sabha on August 5 after they tore a copy of the Constitution, in an apparent display of anger against the government deciding to scrap Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir.
