Pak firing: Injured succumbs, death toll reaches 9

Jammu, Oct 17: One of the injured person in cross border firing, who was undergoing treatment in a city hospital here, succumbed to his critical injuries today. With this death, the toll in cross border firing has touched nine. "One of the injured in cross border firing, identified as Om Prakash of Arnia succumbed to his injuries this morning," hospital sources said here. They said Om Prakash was earlier admitted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H), Jammu on October 6 after he received critical bullet injuries in cross border firing by Pakistan. Earlier, eight people had died in separate incidents of cross border firing along the international border.
