HC issues directions to IGP, JMC, Traffic department | Implementation of Parking Policy in Jammu | | Jammu, Oct 17: In a petition filed by Prof Jaipal Singh seeking implementation of Parking Policy in Jammu issued by the Govt Vide notification NO 03 of 2011 dated September 21, 2011. According to the petitioner as per the parking policy it is prescribed that no can be allowed street parking on the roads having road width less than 7.5 mts. According to the petitioner in violation of parking police, vehicles are parked in a lane in the 3.67 meters wide. Justice Janak Raj Kotwal of J&K HC Jammu Wing after hearing Adv Aseem Sawhney appearing for the petitioner issued notice to Chief secretary ommissioner/ Secretary to Govt, Home Department, Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, Inspector General of Police, Inspector General of Police, Traffic, SSP Jammu, DPHQ Jammu, SSP Traffic, Canal Road Jammu, SHO Police Station Pacca Danga Jammu and Inderpal Singh S/o Nain Singh Bijral, Harpreet Kour W/o Sh Inderjeet Singh, S Amarjeet Singh S/o Lt S Sukalakhan Singh all residents of Rehari Chungi, Behind PNB Bank Jammu returnable within four weeks and meanwhile Court directed JMC Commissioner, IGP Jammu, IG Traffic, SSP Jammu, SSP Traffic Jammu to restrain the private respondents from parking the vehicles in the lane which is violation of parking policy.
