Murder accused denied bail | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 11: Principal Sessions Judge, Poonch, JafferHussainBeigh has rejected the bail application of Abdul Hai of Bhera in Mendhar, Poonch, who was facing trial in the alleged murder of his daughter-in-law. Rejecting his bail application, the judge observed that the accused was facing trial for commission of murder of his daughter-in-law and also for causing disappearance of evidence of offence by throwing the dead body in the nallah for which the case was registered at Police Station Mendhar on January 4, 2014. The charge for commission of offence under sections 302, 201, 34 of RPC was framed against him along with the other accused vide the June 11, 2014, court order. The prosecution is leading its evidence. The accused has not placed on record any certificate with regard to his age or sickness but has admitted in the application that he was sent for medical examination by a super specialist in Jammu by the jail authorities at the directions of this court. Without placing any record of any prescription with the bail application the accused has simply stated that the report has been annexed with the main file, so the plea of the accused for his being old age and infirm has been pleaded by him in the casual manner. The court observed that the application of the accused is misleading and is rejected accordingly at this stage. |
