Accusing three Congress Ministers of demolishing systems of Governance, Civil Society wishes their defeat

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 11: Even as the six year tenure of the Omar led NC-Congress Coalition Government has been marred by several scams and scandals involving Ministers, Bureaucrats and the nexus between the two, civil society of the state is particularly wishing defeat of three major devourers, two from Jammu region and one from the valley who have cleverly managed to win elections despite demolishing all ethics, norms, and systems which are imperative to run democratic institutions.
"Though the Ministers in NC- Congress Coalition have performed miserably and done little for the good of people across the state, three Ministers, all of them belonging to Congress have particularly demolished the system with impunity and indulged in open loot of the state resources to fill their own coffers," said a senior technocrat of the state. "How spitefully they have done this would shake the trust of the common people in democratic institutions, but these clever three successfully satiated their own constituencies while demonizing the system," he added seeking that people defeat them in ensuing elections to the State Assembly.
"These Congress Ministers who headed important Ministries not only fostered Corruption in their respective departments, but misused state machinery for their personal benefits. Transfer industries flourished in their Ministries and price tags were set for different kinds of postings in their departments, while the transfer policy was thrown out of the window," said a recently retired government officer adding, "the PROs of these Ministers openly demanded money for appointments and transfers reducing the departments into dens of corruption and eroding any work culture from them. These Ministers demolished the norms of governance; they cleverly satiated their political constituencies by using public funds at their disposal in their own constituencies at the cost of more deserving areas of the state".
While two of these Ministers have been challenged by serious contenders, the third one hopes to float through despite a strong Modi wave across Jammu region. Of the two, one of these Ministers has been challenged by a retired senior police officer, while the other faces a stiff fight from a medico in his reserved constituency. The third one, who has reduced his constituency to his family hegemony, is counting on his recent political melodrama which many believe is going to do him more harm than good.
