Poonch, Nov 11: Dubbing National Conference-Congress coalition as worst ever corrupt government in the State, general secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Yash Pal Sharma, MLC today sought support of the people to throw out the present inept and corrupt system to bring positive change in the life of the commoners. Addressing series of meetings to intensify campaign for party candidate Shah Mohammad Tantry, Sharma reminded the gathering that PDP led regime had changed the fundamental of politics and administrative system through its conviction and commitment. While mentioning various developmental projects in remote border district Poonch during the PDP led regime, PDP general secretary Mr Sharma said, "This region remained neglected for decades together and it was only during the tenure of PDP led regime that various developmental projects were initiated." He said that the credibility of the present regime has reached at its lowest ebb because this dispensation has lost faith of the common masses due to misdeeds and rampant corruption. "There is total chaos and anarchy because the present regime has failed to bring transparency and accountability in the government", he said and corruption has sneaked from top to bottom in the administration. Charging Omar Abdullah led coalition regime with adopting casual approach towards mounting woes of the common masses, he regretted that people have been struggling hard to get even basic amenities. PDP candidate Shah Mohammad Tantry, in his address assured the people that he would work with dedication and sincerity to solve problems of the masses. Adv Lal Hussain, Shazad Khan, Shamim Dar, Amar Singh Josh, Ragubir Singh, Tanveer Dar, Naresh Chander, Adv Sunil Sharma, Adv Kirtipal Sharma, Daljeet Singh, Bhushan Bhalla, Capt.Sohan Singh and others were present in the meeting. Meanwhile PDP today appointed Advocate Shabir Ahmed as district president of Poonch ST, SC, OBC cell and Ch. Mohammad Ismail as vice president. |
