Kishtwar, Nov 11 : On the directions of Tehslidar Dachhan, who is also the first class magistrate, police have registered an FIR under sections 420, 467, 468, 470, 471 and 109 of RPC with regard to the issuance of two ration cards by CAPD officials. As per the details available with Early Times, Tehsildar Dachhan vide his letter No 106-107/TD written to SHO of Dachhan police station, stating therein that genuine ration card holders have been approaching his office complaining that they were being deprived of ration while one family possessed two cards and had been taking ration against them. The family had managed the ration cards by only changing their surnames. He said as per rule, the new ration card is issued only after the old one is surrendered by the ration card holder but added that in this case, the ration is being issued against both the rations cards. "Both the rations cards were issued for the year 2012-13 with Ration Book Nos 0558872 and 0558912 in the name of Shami Devi, wife of late Devi Dass, and other in the name of Kishore Lal, son of Devi Dass.The undersigned is sending you both these ration cards in original for investigation and necessary action as warranted under law," reads the tehsildar's letter. On the basis of the tehsildar's letter, police have registered an FIR and started investigations. |
