Teachers, officers sports meet of JU begins 5/26/2015 12:39:14 AM Early Times Report JAMMU, May 25: Organised by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, the annual sports meet for teachers and officers of the University of Jammu (JU) got underway at Gymnasium Hall on the campus, here today. The opening day witnessed preliminary round of the competition in two events of badminton, table tennis and carrom. Earlier, the event was declared open by Chairman Campus Sports Committee and Director Sports and Physical Education, Prof Dhian Singh Bhau. Prof Bhau interacted with the participants and wished them success. Today's matches officiated by the technical penal comprising Ravish Vaid and Gagan Kumar. The Detailed Results: BADMINTON: Vivek Slathia (Deputy Registrar) beat Raj Kumar (Department of Law) 21-14, 21-05; Goutam Sharma (Department of Sports and Physical Education) beat Tarsem Singh (Department of of Law) 21- 18, 21- 15; Vikas Karlopia (Department of Sports and Physical Education) beat Dr Sandeep Arya 21-10, 21-17; Vivek Slathia beat Vikesh Sharma 21-10, 21-05.
