Union Home Minister takes strong note of missing important ceremonies
BJP Ministers skip wreath laying ceremony of martyr SI Altaf Hussain

JAMMU, Oct 8: A valiant and decorated police officer of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Altaf Hussain, Sub-Inspector, attained martyrdom while chasing a dreaded terrorist of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) on Wednesday in Bandipora area of North Kashmir. Martyrdom of Altaf Hussain has been considered as big set back to the efforts of the Jammu and Kashmir Police against terrorists in Kashmir. Unfortunately none of the BJP Ministers turned up to pay tributes to the brave cop of Jammu and Kashmir Police.
As autumn session of the Assembly is going on, Deputy Chief Minister and other Ministers of "nationalists" BJP are much enjoying pleasant weather of Kashmir in Srinagar. Unfortunately none of them turned up in the wreath laying ceremony which was held at Police Control Room Srinagar. Realizing that martyrdom of a local police officer was a big setback for the local police in its war against Pakistan sponsored terrorism so Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed skipped all functions at reached at PCR Srinagar to attend wreath laying ceremony. Chief Minister deeply mourned the death of Altaf and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
Former Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah also laid a floral wrath on Altaf's coffin. Also present there were Chief Secretary, B R Sharma, Director General of Police, K Rajendra Kumar, Chief Vigilance Commissioner, State Vigilance Commission, Kuldeep Khoda, IGP Kashmir Zone, SJM Gillani, besides several other senior police officers.
As reported earlier, Deputy Chief Minister and other BJP Ministers had skipped the wreath laying ceremony of four soldiers of the Army who attained martyrdom while fighting with terrorists in Handwara area.
Meanwhile credible sources said that Union Home Ministry has taken very serious note of the behaviour of Deputy Chief Minister and other BJP Ministers for missing such ceremonies.
