JAMMU, Jan 28: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's purported threat to resign over Congress's delinquent attitude vis-a-vis the creation of administrative units is aimed at fighting the anti-incumbency which National Conference (NC) is facing across the state by becoming 'a martyr for a just public cause'.
If sources are to be believed, Omar seemingly threatened to resign after the Congress leadership sought more time for making up its mind on the creation of new administrative units. Congress had expressed reservations over the Ganai Commission report on the grounds that it was heavily in favour of Kashmir region and had ignored several key areas in Jammu region.

JAMMU, Jan 28: The five year long relationship between the National Conference and Congress in Jammu and Kashmir seems to be heading for premature divorce as the fight between the two coalition partners has reached the Delhi Darbar where Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has made clear that he will resign in case the Cabinet Sub Committee on creation of new administrative units headed by Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand did not submit its report on time.
