TOP STORY OF THE DAY
No personal enmity, Taj's worst enemy is his own tongue
‘Karimo panny zew farmo’
11/8/2012 11:13:07 PM
Early Times Report jammu, Nov 8: Senior Congress leader and Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Taj Mohiuddin has been in the middle of controversy for quite some time and every time when allegations, whatsoever, are leveled against him, he attributes the same to personal enmity. Only the other day while submitting the revenue documents pertaining to the land in Shopian, Taj in his letter to the Chairman Legislative Council alleged that the allegations leveled by Panthers Party MLC, Rafiq Shah about grabbing forest land in Sedev area of Shopaian in South Kashmir were out of the personal enmity of Shah and PDP MLC Murtaza Khan with him. From last one year or so, if one studies the statements of Taj on such occasions, it is interesting to note that Taj reacts to each and every allegation or accusations very sharply and in certain cases he immediately opts for legal recourse. But what is even more interesting is the fact that every allegation leveled against Taj was against a backdrop. While going through his pre-allegation statements, it becomes evident that Taj'...

Early Times Report jammu, Nov 8: People by and large believe Sher-e-Kashmir was truly secular. But an analysis of his statements and letters narrate a different story. On July 13, 1953 Sher-e-Kashmir said: "The martyrs have prepared us for bigger sacrifices to achieve our freedom and our right of self-determination. If required, our youth would not desist from fighting a liberation war on the lines of Algerian people." He further said: "I regret my mistake of coming in the way of merger with Pakistan. I had fears that they won't treat me well, but I was wrong. Now I feel back stabbed, I no longer trust Indian rulers, we have different ways now." Sher-e-Kashmir remained in prison for q...
