jammu, Nov 8: Senior Congress leader and Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Taj Mohiuddin has been in the middle of controversy for quite some time and every time when allegations, whatsoever, are leveled against him, he attributes the same to personal enmity.
Only the other day while submitting the revenue documents pertaining to the land in Shopian, Taj in his letter to the Chairman Legislative Council alleged that the allegations leveled by Panthers Party MLC, Rafiq Shah about grabbing forest land in Sedev area of Shopaian in South Kashmir were out of the personal enmity of Shah and PDP MLC Murtaza Khan with him.
From last one year or so, if one studies the statements of Taj on such occasions, it is interesting to note that Taj reacts to each and every allegation or accusations very sharply and in certain cases he immediately opts for legal recourse. jammu, Nov 8: The state unit of Congress party is learnt to have prepared a panel of seven aspirants for the elections to four seats of MLCs in the Legislative Council from the quota of Panchayat members.
Even while the election process would be set into motion from tomorrow onwards with the issuance of formal notification, top Congress leadership here in Jammu and Kashmir has shortlisted seven Congress leaders including former Member Legislative Assembly (MLAs) and Ministers including three from Kashmir valley and four from Jammu region.

jammu, Nov 8: People by and large believe Sher-e-Kashmir was truly secular. But an analysis of his statements and letters narrate a different story.
On July 13, 1953 Sher-e-Kashmir said: "The martyrs have prepared us for bigger sacrifices to achieve our freedom and our right of self-determination. If required, our youth would not desist from fighting a liberation war on the lines of Algerian people."
He further said: "I regret my mistake of coming in the way of merger with Pakistan. I had fears that they won't treat me well, but I was wrong. Now I feel back stabbed, I no longer trust Indian rulers, we have different ways now."

jammu, Nov 8: Just three-day after Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said that there has been positive movement on Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA), Defence Minister AK Antony said that such decisions can't be taken in haste manner.
"I agree with Omar Abdullah that violence level has come down but infiltration is not coming down and it has increased slightly and we have to be watchful round-the-clock. We cannot take a hasty decision. I cannot say in detail but discussions are going on," said Antony at New Delhi.
