Jammu, May 31: Even as the ball related to Chief Vigilance Commissioner's appointment has been pushed by the empowered committee into the court of Governor NN Vohra for his approval, questions and apprehensions area galore as to why the Omar Abdullah led coalition government is so adamant and rigid on having only Kuldeep Khoda on board , despite a stiff resistance from opposition PDP to this name in the panel of 7 officers which was prepared by the government only. Why is government so desperate not to have anyone other than Khoda , making him indispensible of sorts, despite so many genuine concerns expressed by the opposition member in the meeting and thereafter in front of media.
That there was no consensus to this name in the CM led panel is now widely known and even after that his name has been strongly recommended and sent to Governor , taking the advantage of so called 'majority' vote, one being that of Congress and two that of NC, including chairperson Omar Abdullah. Jammu, May 31: The Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons (APDP) intends to file an appeal in the Supreme Court against the High Court decision dismissing a petition against former DGP, Kuldeep Khoda.
APDP executive member, Muhammad Yasin Malik while expressing shock over the decision said: "The dismissal of the petition is based on the objections filed by the Advocate General on behalf of the State Government. The Omar Abdullah Government shamelessly continues to perpetuate their policy of indifference towards the vital human rights issues of the people of Jammu and Kashmir thereby shielding accused from accountability."

Jammu, May 31: Chief minister Omar Abdullah, who holds his grand father the late chief minister Sheikh Abdullah, has taken the cue of holding cabinet meetings at far off and remote places.
It was because of his thinking that he decided to hold cabinet meeting at Karnah, 108-km from Srinagar, at the cost exchequer, but he missed the important points.
During Sheikh's tenure, the late chief minister would hold meetings of district and development boards of each district in the remote corner of the respective district. And would only take cabinet ministers along him.
