Jammu, July 20: With a Rs 6500 Crore plan demand and plea of extending the PM Reconstruction Plan till the end of Eleventh Five Year Plan, the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today called on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi.
Omar Abdullah also called on the Congress president Sonia Gandhi and discussed with her matters pertaining to coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir. Significantly, this comes as first formal and one-to-one meeting of Omar with Sonia Gandhi since formation of NC-Congress ruling alliance in state.

Mumbai, July 20: Lone captured Pakistani terrorist Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab on Monday confessed to his role in carrying out the Nov 26, 2008 terror attacks in Mumbai.
Kasab, made the confessions after requesting to speak to Special Judge M L Tahilyani and narrated the entire sequence of events right from setting off to India from Karachi till his arrest.
“Sir, mujhe mera gunah kabul hai (I plead guilty to my crime),” Kasab told the court.
He revealed before the stunned courtroom names of his Pakistani handlers, including Abu Hamza, Abu Jindal, Abu Kafa and Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, who saw them off when they boarded a ship at Karachi.

NEW DELHI, July 20: The Supreme Court on Monday stayed the narco-analysis of the police officers involved in the rape and murder of two women in Shopian town in Jammu & Kashmir. The bail of these officers will be considered on Friday.
The state has witnessed angry protests over the rape and murder of two women, 17-year-old Asiya Jan and her 22-year-old pregnant sister in-law Neelofar, in May. The protests left two people dead and around 400 injured. The government's initial insistence that the two had drowned further fuelled the protests.
Earlier this month, the J&K government finally admitted that certain police officers were involved in the rape and murder of the two women.
