Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 12: Even as the J&K Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) has reserved some seats for candidates from categories for the upcoming Urban Local Body polls, the same may shatter dreams of at least three politicians from Kashmir hoping to become the Mayor of Srinagar Municipal Corporation in the new elections. Sources said the ward represented by a prominent leader of the Apni Party who holds a key position in the SMC is likely to lose the same if the reservation as proposed by the CEO is upheld. Likewise a former Mayor from the National Conference may also lose his ward. Another aspirant for the chair of Mayor who has remained a Deputy Mayor in the past may also lose his hopes of becoming the Mayor as they wont be able to contest from his ward. Whereas all the three persons are believed to be probable candidates for Mayorship, it all depends on the final decision on the reservations. Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 12: Four people, including a sibling, were killed when a huge boulder hit the truck and it rolled into a deep gorge on Tuesday morning at Wagan in Banihal belt of Ramban district in Jammu and Kashmir. Police said a truck on its way from Jammu towards Srinagar was hit by a boulder, and the vehicle skidded off from the road near Sher Bibi in Banihal. Four people travelling in the truck were killed while police and rescue teams rushed to the scene and recovered the bodies. 40% sitting MPs have criminal cases, 25% serious criminal cases: ADR

Agencies NEW DELHI, Sept 12: About 40% of sitting MPs have criminal cases registered against them out of which 25% have declared serious criminal cases under charges of murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping and crimes against women, according to poll rights body ADR. The average worth of assets per MP from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha is Rs 38.33 crores and 53 (7%) are billionaires, the ADR said.
