Et Report

JAMMU, Oct 3: Lambasting Government against harassment of innocent youth in Kishtwar, BJP today warned to launch agitation in case it did not stop its anti people activities. Taking serious exception to arrest of 16 year old youth Ajay Kumar son of Sewa Ram of Begana Kishtwar over nine days back and torturing him in police custody, BJP national Executive member Dr Nirmal Singh along with Party senior leader Prof Hari Om and its secretary Munish Sharma said that the youth's condition is critical as he was tortured and beaten by police.
Terming it a Government sponsored terrorism, Dr Singh said earlier people were being killed by Pakistan's ISI and terrorists and now it has been the Government sponsored terrorism. He termed the harassment of the youth in Kishtwar a conspiracy of anti national forces to force the minorities exodus from Kishtwar. The police which has failed to quell the violence on August 9 is now making the minority youth a target, he added. He said four five innocent Hindu youth have been arrested and tortured so far and the Government has failed to take action against the culprits which attacked a religious procession at Padder and broke the vehicle of Tehsildar.
Maintaining that they have lost all faith in the Kishtwar administration he said, the administration is playing a partisan role and are hand in glove with the forces who tried to terrorize minorities to force their mass exodus. The BJP leader also termed the judicial probe ordered by Government as an eye wash in the matter.
Dr Singh alleged that the authorities have failed to provide the compensation to Kistwar violence victims till date and the people are asked to complete many formalities for compensation which is impossible for them.
Meanwhile mother and sister of Ajay who has been shifted to GMC Jammu for treatment yesterday said the condition of Ajay is serious. They accused the STF of arresting Ajay and torturing him. If any untoward happened to Ajay the Government will be responsible, said his sister Babita while talking to reporters here. She said the STF jawans beat him and tortured him for the continuous days and inflicted multiple internal injuries to his person. His condition deteriorated to such an extent that he vomited blood in the police custody last Monday. But the STF jawans and officers did not shift him to Hospital or brought him to his residence.
Terming it a grave human rights violation Tara Devi mother of Ajay demanded safety of her son saying he is totally innocent and police was trying to implicate him. The rights bodies should take the cognizance of the same and give justice to our family, she added. She said when his condition deteriorated in police custody and fearing worst police called us and took signatures of handing over him to us for shifting him to Hospital. She demanded filing of a criminal case against the STF.
