Health Department 'fails' to treat dengue patients in Samba

Samba, Oct 3: Dengue cases in Samba are on rise with latest two cases spotted referred to Ludhiana due to strike of doctors of district hospital Samba.
Nitin Kumar and Rinku Kumar residents of Ward No 10, Budwani, Samba who were tested positive had to be shifted to Ludhiana due to strike of doctors in Samba. The rising number of dengue patients has revealed that Health department has failed to control the serious disease in Samba.
The deadly dengue has already claimed two lives in Samba and more than 70 cases have been found positive. People alleged that due to negligence and carelessness of the Health department, patients are suffering. "Though dengue cases are on rise doctors continue to be on strike in Samba Hospital.
The OPD remained closed whole day. We demand arrest of the accused persons and proper security in the District Hospital Samba," they demanded.
