Jammu, Oct 3: The NSS unit of Government College for Women Parade, Jammu today organised an extension lecture on the topic "Role of Community in Prevention and Control of Dengue", wherein RK Sharma, (retd) Assistant Entomologist delivered very comprehensive lecture regarding causes, symptoms and remedies of Dengue. On the occasion RK Sharma also gave demonstration on life cycle of the mosquito causing Dengue.
Earlier, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Gandhi ji, poster making and slogan writing competition were also organized on the theme “Moods and Quotes of Gandhi ji”.
The function was presided over by Dr Hemla Aggarwal, principal GCW Parade.
Dr PP Singh, NSS Programme Officer welcomed the guests and resource persons on the occasion and was assisted by Prof Shivali Gupta. In the end, Prof Shabila Wani presented the vote of thanks to the attendants.
Others present on the occasion included Dr Shamim Mir, medical officer mobile unit CMO, Jammu, Dr Bhavana Langer and Dr ML Sar. |
