| JKUF calls for observing 'Black Day' on Oct 22 | | | Jammu, Oct 3: Realising the grave implications of expanding process of destabilization in the J&K State from within as well as outside, we have decided to constitute an initiative in the name of Jammu and Kashmir Unity Foundation, so that the citizens of the state can be galvanized to meet the challenges in the near future. The emerging scenario indicates that growing radicalization and terrorist activities across the length and breadth of the state are not mere apprehensions but a grim reality which needs to be faced squarely. JKUF announced launch of its initiatives to strengthen the forces of Unity and Integrity in the state across the regions in the pursuit of helping establish peace and an atmosphere of welfare of the people. JKUF has called upon the people of Jammu and Kashmir to observe "Black Day" on October 22, the day Pakistan Army in the guise of tribals launched an attack on the state. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ajaat Jamwal said that it has been felt that over the years the compulsion of the situation in the state have created atmosphere of uncertainty and demoralization. JK Unity Foundation has taken upon itself to build the social morale against the forces of disruption in the state. He said that the agent provocateur Pakistan has not stopped interfering into the internal affairs of the state and is indulging into a continuous war against Indian Nation since October 22, 1947. "Pakistan is indulged in untold atrocities upon the population of Jammu and Kashmir state and even in Pak Occupied Kashmir on the citizens of the state," said Jamwal. |
