Srinagar, Oct 3: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) patron Mufti Mohammad Sayed today visited many areas of Anantnag constituency and took stocks of the problems of the areas. A large number of people met Mufti and discussed various problems with him facing the area. Mufti visited Krangsoo, Pehroo, Anchidoora, Anzullah, Donicheck, Bangdar, Mir Danter, Pethbugh, Schichen and Achabal Adda where he received a warm welcome from the people of these areas. During his visit, Mufti announced grants out of his CDF for different development works including Rs 10 lakhs for development of Schichen as model village. Mufti also visited Rehmati Alam Trust Hospital which is under construction. He discussed with the management the plans for construction which aims at building a 300 beded hospital. He was accompanied by Zonal president Adv Javed Ah Sheikh, Town President Adv Javed Sathoo, State youth Secretary Imran Amin and other senior party workers. Referring to the need for upgrading educational facilities in the area Mufti during his visit to the south campus and degree colleges said his government had opened the south campus of Kashmir University to provide higher education facilities to the students locally. He said the idea was to basically introduce subjects that would increase the employability of students, but that has not been achieved. |
