Jammu, Oct 3: Residents of Paloura top locality have expressed deep anguish over illegal encroachment of government and JDA land through a nexus between local land mafia and revenue officials.
According to the residents, Khasra no. 268 comprising government land and over 4 kanals of JDA land is being encroached by local land mafia in connivance with the revenue officials who rather than initiating action against the encroachers are hand in glove in their nefarious designs and are assisting them in their shady deeds. A group of locals pleading anonymity accused that the revenue officials including Patwari have been fraudulently switching the Khasras to facilitate encroachment of government land in khasra No. 268 and 288, which comprise government land.
When contacted, Director Land Management JDA, Jatinder Singh said, the matter has been brought to my notice and I have asked the concerned officials to report the matter to me in two days". |
