PPBMT for inclusive bill, not against any individual

Jammu, Oct 3: Pandit Prem Nath Bhat Memorial Trust (PPBMT) held a general body meeting in which it dispelled the doubts raised by certain vested interests about the proposed Temples and Shrines Bill which has been introduced in the Assembly and is at present being scrutinized by a select committee.
PPBMT the nodal agency is mandated by Hindus in Kashmir to spearhead a struggle for the passage of Temples and shrines Bill in order to safeguard the encroachment and illegal sale of land and other property of temples in Kashmir. The official spokes person of PPMBT Dr. R L Bhat gave a resume of its deliberations with the select committee members held in Srinagar.
Vehemently castigating those vested interests who wanted to divide various sections of Hindus in Kashmir, the he made it clear that from the word Hindus, PPMBT means all Hindus born in Kashmir regardless of their surnames. He said that PPMBT was not against any individual person or any Sadhu who so ever, but wanted to have a transparent and viable mechanism to run hundreds of shrines in the valley.
He informed that the Trust submitted documents to the select committee proving the clandestine and illegal sale of land and other property belonging to many temples in the valley. Further Dr Bhat emphasized that PPBMT represented six hundred individual Temple Trusts scattered in all corners of the valley and the joint aspiration of all these Trusts was for a comprehensive, holistic and inclusive Bill.
The meeting was presided over by noted social and political activist and President All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIIKS) Moti kaul informed that even in other countries of the world there is a welcome response for the Bill. Citing examples of members of House of Commons, he said the British members too were in complete approval for the passage of the Bill.
The encouraging and role of B L Bhat ex MLC National Conference and of revered saint Swami Kumar Ji in the meeting with the select committee was mentioned and highly appreciated. Those who spoke in the meeting include Dr.R k Bhat, K K Khosa President K P Sabha Ambhphalla, A k Raina of AlIKS. Moti Kaul, Veer Saraf, Ramesh Hangloo, Jai kumar Bhat, Shadi Lal kaul, M K Raina of Jawala Jee Trust, Dr. A N Pandita, P N Goja, Rahul Bhat, Advocate kashmiri Lal Bhat and others.
The meeting charted future course of action and underlined that the struggle for the passage of Temple and Shrines Bill will continue till it is passed in undiluted form in order to restore the faith of minorities of the valley and defeat the nefarious designs of a nexus of encroachers, land mafia and some vested interests who are out to sabotage the Bill.
