| Students interact with officials on Air Force Day celebrations | | | Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Oct 8: In one of its first ever kind of endeavour, GCW Udhampur organised an extensive awareness programme for the students of the college on the occasion of 81st Air Force Day Celebration. The programme was divided into two phases. The first phase was conducted on 7th Oct. in which students from the college were taken to Air force Station Udhampur. The students were shown different types of helicopters that the station operates with, namely Mi 17, Cheetak and Cheetah. The students were also acquainted with the specialized features of the different helicopters .Air force officials also interacted elaborately with the students. The second phase involved an extensive lecture which was delivered by women Air Force officers, Sqd Ldr Neha Chauhan and Flt Lt Tania Srinivas. The programme started with welcome of the guest by Youdhvir Singh, principal of the college in which he appreciated the impact such a programme would have on the students of the college who are interested in joining the belt forces. The Air Force officials spoke on the various options available to women for joining forces, the requisite qualification and physical standards that forces demand.
