Jammu, Oct 8: SOS Hermann Gmeiner School Jammu organized Inter Hermann Gmeiner Literary Competition in the school premises.
The participating schools included SOS HGPS Anangpur, Faridabad, HGS Bhimtal, HGS Faridabad, HGS Bhuj, HGS Varanasi, HGS Bhopal, HGS Pall Nuh and HGS Jammu.
Competitions were held for the following activities like English & Hindi debate, Declamation (English & Hindi), Extempore (English & Hindi) poem recitation, quiz and word building from classes I to VIII.
The programme started with lighting of traditional lamp by the chief guest Usha Tickoo, principal Sai Shyam College of Education and the principal of the host school R. K. Dhar.
Students from junior classes presented various cultural items which enthralled the audience.
All the literary activities were judged by H K Kitchloo and Babita Tickoo from Sai Shyam College of Education and Geeta Devi and Asha Kiran from Government Girls Hr. Sec School Nowabad, Talab Tillo Jammu. Many individual prizes were given away to the participants. Over all best performance was bagged by SOS HGS Varanasi and SOS HGS Jammu was declared runner up. |
