| Panchayati Raj without 73rd amendment not to bring rural prosperity | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Oct 8 : Panchayati Raj is the very significant pillar of democracy which was also strongly advocated by Mahatma Gandhi and Lok Nayak Jai Prakash and so Bharatiya Janata Party has right from the beginning is functioning on the basic fundamentals of Panchayati Raj, said National North Zone Incharge & Co-Convenor of Panchayati Raj Cell Vijay Satti. Satti was addressing the members of Panchayati Raj Cell, in a meeting held at party headquarters here today.
He directed the members to gear up for making the other members aware about functioning of Panchayati Raj also that how they can strengthen the party by addressing the basic problems of electricity, corruption, mal-administration and other related woes of public at all the three levels of Panchayat through maintaining relationship with the people directly. He further said that BJP has always carried forward the basic fundamentals of Panchayati Raj to the grass root level during its rule so that dream of Gram Swaraj is established.
This insist upon sorting out the problems of old age with old age pension, BPL cards, employment cards, Pension for handicaps, widow pensions and shelter to the needy etc. All this is ignored by the present government by damaging the democratic system. Therefore, implementation of Panchayati Raj without 73rd amendment can neither bring equal development nor rural prosperity in the state. BJP State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul gave brief view of the activities of Panchayati Raj Cell also conveyed objective of the meeting after introduction of dignitaries from Delhi. |
