| Rajouri Police accused of bias | | | Et Report Rajouri, Oct 8 : The tension hit Rajouri town on Tuesday remained completely bandh in response to the indefinite bandh call given by the Sanatan Dharam Sabha-Rajouri and the local unit of Vishav Hindu Parishad against the local administration . Meanwhile, a BJP delegation comprising State Vice President Chander Praskesh Ganga, State general secretary Kavinder Gupta, BJYM State incharge Yudhvir Sethi and BJYM State President Ravinder Raina was scheduled to visit Rajouri on Tuesday but postponed the visit after the administration called them for discussion on the issue and assured them of justice.BJP delegation later met with Divisional Commissioner Jammu where IGP-Jammu was also present and prevailing tension in Rajouri was discussed. At Rajouri, a meeting of various organization was held at the office of the Sanatan Dharam Sabha to discuss the future course of action. Addressing the meeting SDS President Dinesh Sharma lambasted the Police for harassing the innocent youth of the town and criticised the arrest of BJYM district President Nishu Gupta and general Secretary Radhesh. He accused the police for working on the directions of Hurriyat Conference and said that it had crossed all limits and was acting undemocratically and illegally to supress the minorities in Rajouri. He said police played foul in the holy Navratras forcing the minority Hindu community to migrate from the border district. He said police created an atmosphere of terror and the sense of insecurity which could lead to the mass exodus of minority Hindus from Rajouri-Poonch. Sanatan Dharam Sabha ,VHP and all other organisations who attended the meeting warned the administration against the foul play and resolved that they will launch massive agitation if their demands were not conceded. |
