| PRM stages rally for 'Political empowerment of Jammu' | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 27: Strongly espousing the cause for "Political empowerment of Jammu" as the only solution of social, economic, cultural, employment and political neglect, marginalization and suppression of Jammu, Peoples Revolutionary Movement (PRM) today organized a protest cum awareness march in Jammu city with an aim to urge people to get united in the larger interest of Jammu as a whole. Hundreds of PRM activists today assembled outside the Press Club, Jammu and held strong demonstration in continuation of its movement to have vigorous campaign creating awareness, forging unity among all classes, seeking co-operation and active participation from common masses for one against those who are exploiting aspiration of Jammu People. PRM leader Rajinder Jamwal while justifying the importance of the Political Empowerment of Jammu, said that seven decades of misrule, monopolization of a particular class and region at the cost of others asked unity among all classes. Jamwal added that people and organizations struggling and agitating on their own, though for their own cause, must forge unity in the larger interest of Jammu as only "political empowerment of Jammu" could heal their wounds inflicted by successive state and central Governments and could ultimately empower them to decide on their own, for their issues rather than going and seeking redressal from somebody else. Jamwal cited various instances of political inequality among different regions of the state said is ultimately resulted into the simmering discontents among Jammuites he said widening of inter-regional wedge and relationship and this present political setup/structure instead of serving any good to the people is cancerous could have huge explosion if timely remedial measures are not opted for. Seeking overwhelming co-operation and support from different people, groups and organizations including West Pak refugees, POJK refugees and other regional groups, Jamwal assured that their participation and support for the larger cause of "Political Empowerment of Jammu" will automatically be an answer to their problems and cautioned them not to fall prey to the nefarious design of the political class. Both D K Khajuria and Dr Hari Datt Shishu, former President JURSA, said that time has come when people of Jammu are required to forge a greater unity among themselves to foil the malicious propaganda and vicious campaign against people of Greater Jammu.
