PDP seeks support of Jammu people to establish new system of governance

Jammu, Dec 27: Calling upon people of Jammu city to repose confidence in the programmes and policies of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to bring in a change in the system of governance, PDP candidate for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat, Yashpal Sharma today said that PDP emerged as as strong regional force which represents true aspirations of the all regions and sub-regions of the state. Interacting with cross section of people during his door to door campaign in Jammu East assembly segment, Sharma said that PDP's programmes and policies were formulated by incorporating wishes and aspirations of the all sections of the society. He said that providing corruption free governance to the people was top on the agenda of PDP. He said that PDP, being a credible regional force, is aware of the wishes and aspirations of all sections of the society.
"Being a biggest regional forces of J&K, there is a decisive role ahead for the PDP in charting out a new destiny for the State and its people", he said while seeking support of the people of Jammu region to get rid of the National Conference.
Later addressing a public meeting at Sector number 6 of Nanak Nagar area organized by Surjeet Kour, Mr Sharma said that people of the state were fed up with the National Conference led coalition regime so they were looking for the appropriate opportunity to teach this coalition a lesson.
"Only PDP has potential to provide credible alternative of National Conference because this party during its tenure in the government and as well as in opposition has proved how to address aspirations of the people", he said and urged people of Jammu region to response their faith in PDP for political empowerment and balanced economic growth.
Speaking on the occasion, veteran leader Sardar Rangil Singh said that "Neither Congress nor BJP has potential to emerge as alternative of National Conference. PDP would safeguard their aspirations and concerns as a responsible political party". He said that every sections of the society was facing hardship due to wrong policies of the Omar Abdullah led government.
Sardar Rangil Singh, while highlighting plights of the refugees, he said that except promises nothing has been done. He demaned one time settlement of the problems of the refugees from other side of the LoC.
