JAMMU, Dec 27: The professional sides of Jammu and Kashmir Bank and J&K Power Development Corporation today registered easy wins to make to the semifinals of the ongoing 2nd Christmas Soccer Championship at GGM Science College ground, here.
Earlier, in the first quarterfinal of the day, J&K Bank blanked Vijay Club 3-0 thereby dominated the game throughout. Prem Kumar struck the first goal in the 37th minute, followed by Rohit and Umar Jaan in the 56th and 71st minute of the match respectively.
Meanwhile, in another match of the day, the JKPDC also defeated their opponent in Churchill Brothers by identical score of 3-0 to reach the next round of semifinals.
Vishal took the early lead for PDC in the 10th minute and Bilal improved it netting the ball in the 20th minute. Entered into the second half of the play with two goals lead, PDC played in same technical mode of keeping the ball moving from one flank to another.
One of the two Nigerians, playing for the PDC, Dammy added third goal for the team in the 65th minute making it an impressive 3-0 win on way to the last four stages of the competition.
Now, in tomorrow's fixture, J&K Bank Academy shall be playing against Air Force in the quarterfinals at 2 pm while Jammu Sports shall take on Jammu United in pre-quarterfinals game at 3.30 pm at the same venue. |
