JAMMU, Dec 4: Securing highest 26.5 marks, the Oliver House bagged the first place in the inter-house quiz competition, organised by ASN Higher Secondary School, Channi Himmat, here today. The second place went to Shakespeare House with 15 marks while Blake House remained third obtaining 11 marks out a total of 35. In all, 12 students, divided into four different teams, representing Shakespeare House, Milton House, Blake House and Oliver House took part in the competition which was spread over three rounds of solo, rapid fire and pass on round. The winning teams were given away the prizes by former Inspector General of J&K Police, A Q Manhas, who was chief guest in the quiz. He interacted with the teams and appreciated the students for their level of knowledge. He was all praise for the management of the school for involving students in different activities. Earlier, Administrator of the school, Ritesh Kapoor welcomed the chief guest and briefed the teams with regard to rules for the competition. Vote of thanks presented by Vandana Trehan. Kulvinder Kour was quiz master, while Sumanjeet Kour and Satish Raina maintained the score. Mona was the coordinator of the competition. |
