JAMMU, Dec 4: State judo team today left for participation in the Youth and Junior National Judo Championship to be held at Shillong from December 7 to December 11.
Earlier, the teams, including nine girls, underwent a screening test conducted by the J&K State Sports Council at MA Stadium, here yesterday. The teams are being accompanied by Suraj Bhan Singh and Suriya Mushtaq as coaches while Rameshwar Singh Jamwal has been named manager.
Before their departure, the judokas interacted with Chief Sports Officer, Mohd Qayum, District Manager, Ravi Singh and secretary of J&K Judo Association, Vikas Gupta as also Suraj Sharma at MA Stadium, here.
