3- Day "On the Spot music competition"concludes

JAMMU, Dec 4: 3-Day Children's on the spot Music Competition organized by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages inaugurated on 2nd of Dec 2014 concluded to day with the participation of 40 students of amateur group in the age of 16 to 21 years.
Dr.Arvinder Singh Amn Additional Secretary while speaking on the occasion appreciated the performances of all the participating students and congratulated the winners. While giving details of the event he informed that a total number of 180 students participated in this three day on the spot children's music competition in which infant, junior, senior and amateur group took part in light solo, classical and instrumental.
He also thanked all judges who adjudicated this event. He further disclosed that the participants who excelled in this event will be given and opportunity to perform in a programme an evening with young artists to be scheduled in near future.
In today's competition of amateur group the first prize in Vocal Light awarded to Vanshika Jaral of Kotwal National Institute of Teaching Talab Tillo Jammu., 2nd prize awarded to Sushmita Banerjee of Govt Collage for Women, Gandhi Nagar and third prize to Vishav Gandhrav Kaswalia of M.A.M Collage, Jammu.
Certificates of Merit were given to Diksha Kumari of Govt. Women Collage, Gandhi Nagar Jammu, Shubam Banerjee of BSF School, Paloura and Karandeep of Sapatak Sangeet Nikaten, Jammu. First prize in Vocal Classical awarded to Roshni Kumari of Govt Collage for Women, Gandhi Nagar Jammu, 2nd prize to Sunil Kumar of Saptak Sangeet Nikten, Jammu and 3rd prize to Shivani Misri of G.G.H.S.S Rehari, Jammu.
The Certificates of Merit were awarded to Bhavya Jain, Ojasvi Gupta both of Sharda Sangeet Sadhan and Sugandh Gandotra D/o Sunil Sharma.
In Instrumental 1st prize awarded to Hakam Singh S/o S. Harvinder Singh , 2nd prize to Amit Anand of Institute of Music and Fine Arts, Jammu and 3rd prize to Krishma Bharti D/o Sh. Shakti Kumar of Kathua The Certificates of Merit were awarded to Havneet Kour of Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar Jammu, Chanchal Singh S/o S. Charan Singh and Manisha Poudwal of Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar Jammu. The adjudicators of today's competition were Sh. Sunil Raina, Darmesh Nargotra and Surinder Manhas. Rajesh Kumar and Joinder Paul assited the participants on Harmonium and Tabla respectfully The proceedings of the program were conducted by Bishan Dass while Dr.Sudhir Mahajan In charge SOCA Gr -I presented.
