Jammu, Dec 4: International Acting workshop organised by Natrang and conducted by Conor Whelan of London concluded today at Natrang Studio Theatre, Jammu. Describing about this initiative Director Natrang Balwant Thakur informed that, the motive behind this workshop was to introduce the most developed methodologies of Actor's training to Natrang Actors. Amazingly world over new ways of actor's preparedness are being explored and developed and why Natrang actors should lag behind Balwant Thakur added. Conor Whelan is a young performer, story teller, poet, clown, actor and playwright who came all way from London to conduct the workshop with Natrang actors. First coming on board with Rambling Heart for the Three Week Window festival, Conor since been swept to London and continued his training at London International School of Performing Arts (LISPA). Alongside his work for Rambling Heart, he is also a freelance theatre-maker, is a workshop facilitator for Tall Tales, Tiny Tales and was a children's entertainer for Nutty's Parties. After early performances such as a seagull, he went on to study Literature and Theatre at Leeds University. Two of his plays were produced there, another at West Yorkshire Playhouse through Peepolykus' The Ionian Enchantment. Acting took him to Edinburgh Fringe in Splinters of Light (4* Scotsman, Three Weeks). |
