| Man impersonating as 'DySP' arrested | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 4: Channi Himmat police arrested an impersonator posing as DySP and threatening people especially the truck drivers in Channi Himmat area in city outskirts of this winter capital of the state to make easy money.
Giving information a senior police officer said that one Mushtaq Ahmed Seyaal s/o Abdul Rashid Seyaal of Teli Basti in Bari Brahmana has been arrested.
"During a special nakka laid near Stadium Chowk, Channi, this afternoon, the accused Mushtaq Ahmed Seyaal was taken into custody while he was impersonating as DySP of Jammu and Kashmir Police and was extorting money from truck drivers, he said. He said that police have seized the uniform and arrested the accused on the spot.
"The catch was made by SHO Channi Himmat Aijaz Ahmed Wani under direct supervision of SDPO East Rafiq Manhas, SP South Rahul Malik and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand, he added.
Meanwhile concerned police have registered a case FIR No 100/2014 against the accused under relevant sections and further investigation is on.
