BJP contestant Dr Bhaghat seeks vote for development of Chamb | | | Jammu, Dec 4: Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) Chamb constituency contesting candidate Dr Krishan Lal Bhaghat today addressed series of meetings at different locations and asked people to vote for BJP in the assembly elections for the development of the constituency. Dr Bhaghat alongwith BJP Chamb and Akhnoor constituency elections incharge Bansi Lal Bharti, while addressing these meetings at Rangpur, Takwal, Gowar and Pindi lambasted the incumbent Congress MLA Tara Chand under whose tenure according to them corruption multiplied manifolds in Jammu and Kashmir. BJP leaders said that it was tenure of Sitting Minister Tara Chand who held portfolio of Education Ministry when a notification was seen on the wall of a government office having written-"Transfers on sale". "How could he claim transparency and accountability, besides serve the public of the constituency when he has failed to take action against his PA Kewal who is allegedly involved in spreading the corruption in the Education Department," questioned Dr Bhaghat amid big applauds from crowd. Raising the issue of poor condition of roads and other government infrastructures in the constituency, he said during the tenure of sitting MLA who was elected twice the things turned from bad to worse. Seeking votes in favour of BJP, he appealed the voters to come in large out of their houses and vote for the BJP candidate by pressing the lotus button on the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) to stop the Congress from forming government in Jammu and Kashmir. Among senior leaders who were present in these meetings included Jagdish Bhagat, Jai Singh, Ramesh Chander, Ravi Singh, Joginder, Shamsher Singh and G S Chib. |
