Rajouri, Dec 4: 12 students who were travelling in mini school bus and were on way to school received serious injuries when the vehicle turn turtle on the roadside in the morning today.
Sources said that mini bus bearing registration No JK11-2118 was on way to Gharati from Rajouri and the driver lost control o the vehicle when its break failed about 2 kilometers ahead of Gharati.
To avoid major tragedy the driver turn the bus towards mountain side, instead towards river side, and it turned turtle "Had the bus fell in the river few fatalities or major injury would have not been avoided" said Manzoor a injured student.
All the students were rescued by the local and policemen deployed in the area and are under treatment in the district hospital.
According to Superintendent of hospital all the students are out of danger and responding to treatment.
The injured have been identified as Suil Kumar, Rajiv Kumar, Manzoor, Shakeel, Wazir Hussain, Juvaid Iqbal, Shabir, Shahbaz, Sajjad Hussain, Zulfikar , Wazir Hussain and Basharat Hussain. A case under section 279 RPC has bee registered against the driver who was reportedly arrested by the police |
