DB directives in PIL regarding relief to flood victims of Jammu Division

Jammu, Dec 4 : In a Public Interest Litigation filed by two practicing Advocates namely Ajay Bakshi and Tariq Rasool wani highlighting the inaction of the Government to deal with the situation caused by the unprecedented floods in the State of Jammu and Kashmir, especially in Jammu region, a Division Bench of State High Court Comprising Chief Justice MM Kumar and Justice Tashi Rabstan after hearing Adv AP Singh for the PIL whereas Sr. AAG Gagan Basotra for the state observed Sr. AAG Gagan Basotra seeks short adjournment to comply with the order dated November 14, 2014 in which Division Bench has issued various directions. DB further observed that the matter is very urgent and granted two weeks time to do the needful. Division Bench further directed in the meanwhile petitioner may also bring on record any deficiency with regard to extending the relief for rehabilitation by filling appropriate application.
