Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 4 : People Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Gandhi Nagar assembly constituency Amrik Singh Reen today said that the party is committed for up-liftment of the masses in state.
Addressing largely attended gatherings at Malik Market, Gorkha Nagar, Ambedkar Nagar in Gandhi Nagar constituency, he said that there are several localities in Gandhi Nagar where people are living in miserable conditions as far as road connectivity, power supply, water connectivity and other developmental issues are concerned.
"The problem of traffic congestion in the city is as it is till now and during the afternoon period, people can be seen standing in long queues waiting for their turn to go before the traffic signals but the ruling MLA is trying to show off the development which is of no use for the general public of the city", said Reen while campaigning door-to-door to appeal voters to cast their vote in favour of PDP.
The PDP candidate assured that if he is voted to power, he will be pursuing the same with the government to solve the problem of the traffic congestion by constructing sub-ways, foot over bridges and flyovers in the city. Reen was accompanied by Rashid Malik, Harmeet Singh, Virender Singh Sonu, Deepak Handa, Nitish Mahajan, Ch Talib, Ch Akram and others.
Reen took a dig at the incumbent MLA saying despite number of issues which remained unaddressed during his long tenure as the MLA of the city; he could be seen singing in his praise for bringing about the development in the constituency which actually is on documents and the ground reality is entirely different.
He made a fervent appeal to the voters to vote in large in favour of the party on the day of polling to ensure the victory of the PDP candidate from the Gandhi Nagar assembly segment. "Only PDP is the party that is committed for the up-liftment of the masses as the same was seen during the three year short tenure of PDP in government when more than one lakh people were given employment", said the PDP leader.
Further he cautioned the people to keep them away from the nefarious designs of communal parties like BJP, Congress and National Conference who are trying to woo voters with the use of religious card, money, liquor and other daily requirements.
Meanwhile lady wing of the PDP including Jaspreet Kaur, Deepali Handa, Ruchi Mahajan and Samira Gupta and others launched door-to-door canvassing in favour of Reen and appealed to the people of more than 1000 households to vote for the PDP candidate.
