Supplies and Stock position of essential commodities reviewed in Baramulla | | | Early Times Report
BARAMULLA, Jan 06: In view of taking a comprehensive review of the supplies and stock position of the essential commodities in Baramulla district, Additional District Commissioner, Reyaz Ahmad Wani today chaired a meeting attended by Assistant Director CA & PD besides the Wholesale dealers of the district. It was given out in the meeting that a total of 27,807 quontals of rice have already been deposited in 66 outlets for winter for places where supply of rice gets hampered during winter months. Besides, a total of one lakh quontals of rice are already dumped at Food Corporation of India(FCI) and other outlets in the district, sufficient for 2 months for the district. A total of 1,022 KL of Kerosene have already been distributed to the dealers with 100 % lifting of the stock already taken place. Moreover, a total of 1 Lakh 32 Thousand of active connections of LPG are present in the district at present, with a total requirement of 72 thousand LPG Cylinders on monthly basis. For January month, 15,000 LPG Cylinders have already been lifted besides a floor stock of 3 thousand. The Additional District Commissioner while impressing upon the dealers for smooth supply of LPG in the district directed the people of the district that they should provide their account numbers before 31st January for direct cash transfer of the subsidy from February 2015 onwards as per the directions of the Prime Minister. However, the LPG dealers were directed to provide LPG gas cylinders to the consumers at subsidized rate of 435.50 for the month of January, to which the dealers agreed. Meanwhile, regular market checking by team comprising of the officials of Revenue, CAPD, Legal Meteorology and Municipality department is going on throughout the district. |
