Police takes initiative to findout reason behind fire : SP Katra | Naya Bazaar complex at Katra catches fire, loss upto ` 4 crores | | Ajay Sharma

KATRA, Jan 6 : As a bad symbol in the beginning to new year, a propertier of Katra suffered a great loss today when a shopping complex owned by him suddenly caught fire enormously owing to mysterious reasons. According to the surrounding shopkeepers, the dry fruit shop suddenly caught fire at about 12:50 am, which then speedly spread along the whole building and after fraction of seconds, the fire being severe in nature captured the whole building, owned by Ambrish Magotra, a propertier of Katra. They further said that the Fire brigade played a great role and were tring their best to end the fire. Even some private tankers were also engaged to spray water by the police but it did not cast much. The localists further said that some people have rented up the shops in the complex while some yatries were also there in the complex but all escaped successfully. SP Kulbir Singh when contacted said that no humanitarian loss was reported and Fire brigade as well as other private tankers have done a great job in extinguishing the fire. He estimated that a loss of about `3 to ` 4 crores will be there and also said that an investigations to find out the reason of fire is also initiated by the police. |
