GLTF holds meeting, highlights demands | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 6: To reiterate its demand of withdrawal of unjust and unwarranted move of previous Government that is inclusion of five years of honorary service of and the transfers for ReTs, the core committee of General Line Teachers Forum (GLTF) headed by President Neeraj Sharma discussed various issues at Jammu office. According to press release, during the meeting GLTF president said that the miscalculated move of the coalition Government was completely politically motivated to woo the disgruntled voters in the state. The decision was taken Government in haste in the backdrop of its miserable failure in the General Election of 2014. He said that in its frustration the Government Hurriedly took many uncalled decisions to earn goodwill of people at large and the major part of teaching community without applying mind over the fallouts of these decisions causing the irreparable damage to the School Education System. The General Secretary of Forum Daleep Kumar Digra lamented that the said decision with selfish motive has caused a wide gulf and disharmony among teaching community. He further added that the scenario got worsened when hundreds of ReTs managed their transfers under this move and moved to their favorite stations dislodging the general line teachers. This exodus was prominent from the minister's constituency with underlying motive of making space for further ReT engagements of his blue eyed voters. But in that the victims were again the poor children of schools in villages to which these teachers have pledged to serve and thereby got their jobs. Sukhdev Singh, Tejinder Singh, Kuldip Sharma, Vishal and Kailash were also present on the occasion. |
