CB produces challan against bank official for fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 1.10 Lacs

Jammu, Jan 6: Crime Branch, Jammu produced challan against a cheat Bank official for withdrawing Rs 1.10 lacs fraudulently from Citizen Co-operative Bank, Channi Himmat, Jammu. The Case FIR No. 22/2007 under section 409, 420 RPC P/S Crime Branch, Jammu was registered on the complaint of Managing Director Citizen Co-operative Bank, Jammu against Vishal Singh, son of Kulwant Singh resident of Mandi Sanghwali Tehsil & District Samba, Peon of the said Bank.
During the course of investigation, it was found that accused Vishal Singh Peon of the Bank produced a self cheque of Smt. Anu Singh having account No. 829 amounting to Rs 1.10 lacs and presented the same before the then Manager and cashier-cum-clerk Gopal Dass for payment and received the payment of ` 1.10 lacs and subsequently torn the material record i.e Cheque and ledger sheet from which he withdrew amount fraudulently.
After establishing the offences u/s 409, 420 RPC against the accused person the charge sheet was presented before the court of Ld. CJM, Jammu.
