CPPWU demands starting of work upon Pakal Dul HE Project

Kishtwar, Jan 6: China Power Projects Workers Union (CPPWU) demanded execution of Palak Dul Hydro-electricity project.
According to press release, a meeting of CPPWU was held under the Chairmanship of Joginder Bhandari.
Joginder Bhandari Chairman of the union while speaking urged upon the management of Chenab Valley Power Projects Limited to start the execution of Pakal Dul H.E Project so that the local unemployed youths of the district could get employment opportunity in the said project.
He said that there are a number of unemployed youths in the area having sufficient experience in handing various kind of machineries being used in the execution of hydroelectric projects.
Bhandari informed that crores of rupees have been spent upon this prestigious project by NHPC and joint venture but regretted that no physical work on ground level has been taken up by the CVPP limited which indicates that funds have been misappropriated by the NHPC and CVPP limited which needs to be probed by the CBI.
The leaders of the union have also demanded resumption of work upon Rattle H.E Project Drabshalla which has been suspended by M/s GVK power development in the month of July 2014 without showing any solid reason.
Those attended the meeting includes Bashir Khan, Mohd Amin Butt, Tariq Patri, Anil Sharma, Mohd Khalil Tapal, Javed Malipath, Gh Hussain Gannie, Sameer Butt, Mohd Ashraf Gannie, Sunil Sharma, Ram Rattan Sharma, Sardar Satpal Singh, Akhter Hussain, Asgar Ali, Irshad Ahmed, Farooq Dugga, Nissar Ahmed, Jaffar Butt, Nissar Baderwahi, Jaffar Giri Rinku Tanulkar, Hafiz Mattoo and others.
