Students of AMT School stage protest for not conducting exam | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 6: Angry students of Ancillary Medical Training (AMT) School of Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu on staged protest demonstration by blocking Bakshi Nagar road over delaying in conducting exam of fourth year . Number of students of AMT School enrolled in the year 2010 assembled at GMC hospital and shouted slogans against the administration of GMC for not conducting their exam. They demanded to conduct their exam as soon as possible otherwise they will launch agitation. Speaking on the occasion, Kusum, Rubya Suraksha and Shallu said,"We got admission for 3 and half years training course at AMT School GMC in the year 2010 and after appearing in the 3rd year exams, we were relieved from the college as our time period of the course got completed on November 30, 2013. But till date, the fourth year exams have not been conducted, which resulted into loss of over one year", they added. They stated that many times the issue was taken with concerned authorities but nothing has been done in this regard. Later a delegation met with Principal of GMC Ghanshyam Dev Gupta he assured he will take steps to conduct the exams as soon as possible. They threatened to launch agitation, if the administration will fail to redressal their demands of conducting the exams and providing jobs in GMC and SSH. |
